Hey friends,
To all 376 of you subscribed to this newsletter, thank you 🙏
Currently, I’m deep down the podcasting rabbit hole as my podcast course starts in two weeks and so, for better or worse, that’s the main theme of today’s newsletter. Not for you? Well, see what I have in store for you next week 😊
If you haven’t subscribed and are interested, subscribe below.
Let’s get to it, shall we?
Podcasting for B2B Companies
I recently wrote this thread on how B2B companies could leverage podcasting:
I think podcasting is one of the most underutilized marketing channels.
It’s phenonmenl for both:
Growing your brand
For B2B companies, this is especially true, as they can leverage podcasting to increase the effectiveness of their sales efforts and have their potential customers come to them.
The best part?
It’s cheaper and less time-consuming than you’d think.
Check out the thread for a deep dive.
Juggling Multiple Projects
I can’t just work on one thing - I get too bored.
So, invariably, I work on multiple projects at once, which comes with its own challenges.
Currently, I’m working on:
Building Vitalize, our venture firm
Growing Vitalize Angels, which offers angel investing for everyone
Producing The Vitalize Podcast, where I interview VCs and founders
Writing Re:Vitalize, our weekly “Founders & Friends” newsletter at Vitalize
Building the content and growing signups for my course, Podcast Playbook
Developing my podcast, Just Go Grind
Writing this newsletter, Justin’s Journal
Growing my personal and our company’s social media presence
It’s a lot.
Probably too much.
But I enjoy it all and want to keep it rolling.
How do I juggle it all?
Here’s what helps:
Make sure projects are interconnected. The newsletter fuels the growth of the podcast. The podcast fuels the social media growth. The social media growth fuels the newsletter growth. These aren’t all separate - they’re connected. It’s the only way I’d be able to do this many different things.
Understand what the priorities are. Some things, like growing Vitalize Angels and sourcing deals for Vitalize, are top priortites, and take the lionshare of my time. Others, like this newsletter, take only 1-2 hours per week. Understanding the priorities and the time I’m willing to allot to certain projects is critical.
The reality is, this takes significant time each week.
But when you understand compounding, and how the earlier you start, the more time you give these assets to grow, you can’t help but want to continue to make progress.
Quick Updates
I’m finally back on my running game with my knee feeling okay and it’s wild to me the difference in how many days go when I run vs. when I don’t
For the first time, I’m getting together with both partners at Vitalize in person… at the same time 😊 and if you’re a Vitalize Angels member you can join us!
That’s it, friends! Have a wonderful week 😊
